Hi I’m back with some more smoothies. By now you know I LOVE smoothies as they are so delicious, nutritious and easy to make. Here are my favourite green smoothies.
1. SPINACH, AVOCADO SMOOTHIE
This smoothie is creamy, smooth and packed with nutrients.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 frozen or fresh banana cut into chunks
- 1.5 cups fresh spinach
- ½ medium avocado
- 1 green apple (a red apple can be used if you prefer a sweeter taste)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
DIRECTIONS
Add the ingredients in the order as listed above into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar. Chill the smoothie in the freezer for 20 mins and enjoy.
2. TROPICAL SPINACH SMOOTHIE
This tropical spinach smoothie is tantalizing, sweet and gives a boost to the immune system.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk
- 2 cups frozen pineapple, mango and strawberry
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Add the ingredients in the order as listed above into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar and enjoy.
3. KALE PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE
This kale pineapple smoothie is delicious and refreshing. It also gives a boost to the immune system.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups fresh chopped kale
- 1 frozen banana
- ¼ cup frozen or fresh pineapple
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
DIRECTIONS
Add the ingredients in the order as listed above into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar and enjoy.
4. BERRY SPINACH SMOOTHIE
This berry spinach smoothie is delicious and gives a boost to the immune system.
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup of fresh orange juice
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
DIRECTIONS
Add the ingredients in the order as listed above into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar and enjoy.
5. GREEN DETOX SMOOTHIE
This smooth is great for a detox to help flush accumulated toxins from the body.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk
- 1 green apple
- 1large frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
- Small handful fresh parsley or cilantro
- Small handful fresh mint
DIRECTIONS
Add the ingredients in the order as listed above into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar, garnish with fresh mint and enjoy.
6. AVOCADO CUCUMBER SMOOTHIE
This avocado cucumber smoothie is refreshing and creamy.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
- 1 unpeeled cucumber
- ½ large avocado
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon honey
DIRECTIONS
Add the ingredients in the order as listed above into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar, chill in the freezer for 20 minutes and enjoy.
