The small, stylish restaurant Voila by Lilee Bistro, first opened its doors in the town of Mandeville some 3 years ago. There are very few restaurants of this kind in Mandeville. Voila bistro is conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle of the town, in a small developing plaza named Pear Tree Village on Caledonia Road.
What sets Voila apart from the other restaurants in Mandeville? For me, it is the food and the customer service. I have been a loyal patron of Voila from its opening until now. I am not originally from Jamaica so I have a very distinctly different accent. Over time, that accent is what was used to identify me when I called to place my orders from Voila. Fallon usually was the one to take my call-in order and she eventually learnt my name and my ordering preference. Lol.
There is indoor and outdoor seating available to seat 54 guests. The décor at Voila is French inspired with a large picture of the Eiffel tower in the dining area and other touches which mimic being in a French bistro. The mood at Voila is always very relaxed.
This bistro serves breakfast from 8am-11:30am, lunch from 11:30am until closing time and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm until closing time. Their opening hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm, Friday-Saturday 8am-9:30pm and closed on Sunday.
The food at Voila is delicious with a variety of meals on the menu. For breakfast one can choose from breakfast wraps, crepes (sweet or savoury), waffles, omlettes just to name a few. For lunch the options are almost endless, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, pastas and the list goes on. For dinner chicken cordon bleu, grilled salmon or grilled steak served with a starch and sautéed garlic butter vegetables are available. My favourites are the pear salad, chicken caesar salad, hawaiian bbq chicken wrap, hawaiian panini, crispy chicken sandwich, creamy penne pasta with chicken or shrimp.
Chef Lilee’s signature burger is a definite must try!
Not to be missed are weekly lunch specials on Mondays and Wednesdays which feature Jamaican or International cuisine and breakfast specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays which feature traditional Jamaican breakfast or International breakfast. Voila also serves delicious cakes, desserts and pastries. Catering services and cakes for special occasions are some of the other services being offered.
